چکیده
This research was performed to investigate the effects of milk thistle (MT), toxin binder (TB) and marine algae (Spirulina platensis; SP) on performance, blood indices, humoral immunity cecal microbiota broiler chickens exposed aflatoxin-B1 (AFB1). A total 300 one-day-old male chicks were equally divided into five treatments, with six replicates 10 birds per treatment. Dietary treatments included: (T1) a control diet (without any feed additive or AFB1); (T2) + 0.6 mg AFB1/kg; (T3) T2 g/kg MT; (T4) 1 TB; (T5) SP. BWG FI found be considerably reduced in broilers given AFB1-contaminated diets (p < 0.05). The FCR negatively influenced fed MT, TB, SP powders also deleterious AFB1 growth In comparison other had higher relative weight abdominal fat feeding resulted substantial rise AST ALT activity significantly decreased MT groups lowest skin thickness 0.05) twenty-four hours after injection. phytohemagglutinin injection results showed that TB more efficient than additives removing toxins from sources antibody titer against sheep red cells (SRBCs) lower group compared at 28 days age When comparing AFB1-fed treatment, there significant concentration Coliform bacteria. added diet, Coliforms diets, it can concluded are suitable for supporting immunological function, serum biochemical parameters chickens.

Milk Thistle (Silybum marianum)
Milk thistle is a well known and commonly used herb, used particularly in hepatic diseases. It has very potent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antifibrotic properties (1). As a single agent its therapeutic effects in liver disease appear to be modest (2,3,4,5). Herbal medicines and supplements are likely to be much more beneficial when used synergistically in combinations or formulas. Milk ...
متن کاملEffect of Milk Thistle (Silybum marianum L.) on Biochemical Parameters and Immunity of Broiler Chicks Fed Aflatoxin B1 after Three Weeks
Background: This study was conducted to determine the efficacy of milk thistle seeds (MTSs) in counteracting the toxic effects of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) in a contaminated diet fed to broilers. Methods: Two dietary inclusion rates of AFB1 (0, 0.250 and 500 ppb) and MTS (0, 0.5 and 1%) were tested in a 3×3 factorial manner. The effect of nine experimental treatments was assessed using 216 one-d-old R...

The objective of this research was to investigate the efficacy of dietary inclusion of probiotics Primalac® and Bactocell® and prebiotic Fermacto® on broiler’s performance and immune response, individually or in combination. A total of 540 one-d-old male Ross 308 broiler chicks were allocated into 6 experimental treatments with 6 replicates of 15 birds per replicate from 1 to 42 d of age. The b...
